Within a highly specialized niche of professional engineering practice, Dr. Amar provides a broad range of investigative and analytical expertise. Dr. Amar has extensive experience in civil and environmental engineering, including water resources and flood control projects. He has been involved in technical direction, management and coordination of all aspects of multi-disciplinary hydrologic, water resources, sedimentation, flood control and drainage projects for nearly 35 years. He is thoroughly familiar with current state and federal regulatory framework including NEPA, NPDES, FEMA, Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and Clean Water Act (CWA) statutes. Dr. Amar is particularly adept in the compilation, reduction, analysis, computer modeling and simulation of a variety of hydraulic, hydrologic, water quality and hydrogeologic data for the analysis, design, and management of water resources and flood control facilities. Report preparation and review, technical presentations, expert witness testimony, training of staff, and client interface/negotiations are integral parts of his responsibilities. Dr. Amar has served on the engineering faculties of several universities in the United States and abroad, and has published extensively in hydrology and water resources.
